What about the deductible?

The deductible is the amount your insurance company is expecting you to cover.  Average deductible for Massachusetts motorists is usually $300 or $500, check with your agent or insurance company if you do not know the amount of your deductible.  Remember, you determined the amount of the deductible on your insurance policy when you purchased it.  The repair shop does not determine this amount. 

Some people will ask us to help them cover the cost of their deductible.  Not only is this unethical but also illegal for us and for you.  In order to 'help' you cover the deductible we would either have to cut some of our profit or not replace all the parts or all the labor that the insurance company is paying me to do, or I would have to bill the insurance company for additional work that was not performed.  We can't do that so please don't ask.
