Injured Hawk Removed From Garage

CLINTON - A hawk which apparently injured itself while flying through a closed window into Guaranty Auto Sales & Service was removed from the garage yesterday by state environmental officials and will be nursed back to health, police said.
Officer James A. Hisman said the environmental officials reportedly plan to release the bird after it recovers. He was not certain which state agency took custody of the hawk. Sgt. Paul C. Stevenson said the hawk was discovered in the garage at about 10:00 AM by Lorne Almeida, Guaranty Auto Sales. The bird was bleeding and limping when it was found, Stevenson said.
